Tucked away at our humble digs in industrial SE Portland, Marmoset curated a little party we're calling HOTT SUMMER NIGHTS. It was a sincere honor to have Damien JuradoPure Bathing Culture, and Houndstooth each perform intimate sets for more than 300 friends, family, and a large showing of Portland's most sociable creative and music industry peeps. Big thanks to Upright Brewing, Bull Run Distillery, Ninkasi Brewing, and DJ vs. Nature from Beacon Sound for helping make such a hott night possible. And in cased you missed it, our dear friends and production wizards Robbie Augspurger and Bernardo A.P. whipped up a little vignette of memories from the hott hott evening.

Big thanks to everyone who made it out for the fun. Stay tuned for the next hott party... Sunday, September 9th at Rontoms. 2pm-midnight. 15 bands and ice cold beer that flows like a river. Like a river.

Ryan Wines to Speak at IdeaMensch Portland: July 9th at Instrument #IM48

Our very own Ryan Wines is speaking at IdeaMensch Portland on July 9th at Instrument in Portland. IdeaMensch is a global community of people who bring ideas to life. The IdeaMensch folks are doing a 48 state, 50 event, 115 day Road Trip of the lower 48, working to cultivate a global conversation to inspire entrepreneurs and creatives to create and grow. The show starts at 6:30 and is hosted by our friends at Portland-based digital creative agency wizards, Instrument. A dynamite opportunity to meet folks and do a little networking among Portland's creative and entrepreneurial community.Ryan will explain how in less than two years, he's helped turn a random idea between two guys in a coffee shop into a rocketing music agency, shepherding a growing conduit between Portland’s indie music community and Madison Avenue. He'll present some practical, easy to implement tools on how to launch a creative agency. During Marmoset’s brief history, they’ve scored original music for commercials in the past two Super Bowls, they regularly work with the top creative agencies on the planet, and have cultivated a unique community of uber-talented, hard working, blue collar artists. Not bad.

Get your ticket with a discount by RSVP-ing before July 6th. AND... if you use the promotional code "marmoset" you get an additional $5 off. What a deal. RSVP  and get more info here.

This Wednesday: Kris Orlowski plays Someday Lounge in Portland

You can skip out on that Twin Peaks party you had planned this Wednesday... you can catch up later. Instead, head on over to the Someday Lounge to see our bud Kris Orlowski play with Glassbones, Hive Mind, and De La Warr. Kris's songwriting is uniquely personal, even if you're a first time listener. His brand of folk-rock is as infectious the rash I can't seem to shake on the inside of my thigh. I'm not lying, this thing is infectious - oh man. But enough about me... The show starts at 9pm and the cover charge is $8 at the door. Someday Lounge is located off the Max line in Chinatown at 125 NW 5th Avenue, Portland Oregon.

We'll see you there!

Marmoset's Caramel Hot Chocolate Dream Jam

If you're like me, and your homepage is the McDonald's website, you may have been serenaded by some breezy island music when you opened up your world wide web this morning. Please know that you were in fact serenaded by Marmoset's chief creative master of all things chocolatey and caramely....Mr. Brian Hall, who whipped up the site's dreamy music at Marmoset's Portland Studio.

To hear this sweet jam, click here:  There you will be taken on a tour of Mickey D's caramel-centric McCafe beverages, with Brian's silky smooth caramel and chocolate inspired jam on a never ever ending loop. I thought I told that we don't stop? ...Especially when our jam is on a never ending loop.

Shout out to DJ Bunny Ears and DJ Clerical Error at DDB Chicago.
