This full-time opportunity requires someone who has introductory-to-moderate experience with general HR duties and responsibilities ideally working with a company size of 20 or greater. Experience as a studio or office manager or in a business affairs support role is preferred. We’re looking for someone who is highly organized, a master of details and is open to learning new systems and policies. We need someone who’s demonstrated flexibility and hasn't yet developed too many rules or rigidness in their approach. Essentially, we’d like you to begin with us as a student one who will first listen, study, and learn then quickly grow into the role of a critical thinker who is constantly looking for ways to improve systems and processes.
The official title is “Director of Business and Financial Affairs.” This full-time position works with all teams at Marmoset, company-wide to ensure the overall financial health and stability of the company. It oversees the company’s finance and accounting, business affairs, and HR disciplines/areas. The role is part of the Leadership Team, involved in both high-level decision making and strategy that promotes the organization’s mission and values, as well as day-to-day accounting and finance work, overseeing three to five people.
The successful candidate must have a BS/BA in Business, Finance, or Accounting, and at least three years’ demonstrated experience in an accounting or finance department head role. Experience with fresh, progressive-minded creative agencies and/or tech companies and/or start-ups is a plus.
