In addition to being a haven for indie filmmakers to showcase their work and mingle among like-minded people, the Portland Film Festival is an opportunity for filmmakers to learn about new trends and resources in the industry. This year, PFF has decided to extend their knowledge beyond the dates and locations of the festival with the Portland Film Podcast, interviewing local filmmaking influencers who are doing big things in the film world.

We were honored to be featured in the fourth episode of the podcast, featuring Marmoset’s fearless leader, Ryan Wines. Ryan recently took a trip to Portland’s musician-run Revolver Studios to talk Marmoset culture, the fine craft of matching image to sound, and being a conduit for the PNW music community. Hosted by Molly Silverstein, the conversation covers Marmoset’s story, how the company operates, and how “defending creative energy always trumps the bottom line.” Listen to the whole story here.
