Our friends at Cut.com created a powerful piece of film focusing on one complicated and heated word: Police. Filmmaker, Mike Gaston and Co. interviewed a group of African-American men spanning the ages of five to fifty and compiled a series of short answers distilling the emotional and complex nature of this word.
Going with the route of simplicity, only one angle is shot and the track "Alone" by Courtland Urbano selectively appears in the beginning and end of the film. Silence enhances the intense nature of the subject and gives room to dive into the emotions and expressions of each interviewee in the deafening silence. Truly moving.
