The Holiday Season Comes Sooner Than You’d Think!

What’s that I hear? Is it sleigh bells ringing? Is it Old Saint Nick on the roof? I know what you’re thinking . . . Marmoset needs holiday songs! Right?

Well, not quite yet.

For the majority of commercials, agencies, and production companies, most requests for holiday music that we receive are actually in August and September of any given year. So to utilize any new holiday songs, ideally we would receive them by the end of July. To be honest, we don’t have a huge need for additional holiday music, but if you have a hankering to make a new festive song or throw some sleigh bells on your existing songs to give them the holiday treatment, we want to make sure y’all were aware of when the requests roll in. So if you haven’t put thought into it yet, don’t fret - there’s always next year!

Another big season in advertising is the Super Bowl. There’s really no distinct style of music that dominates Super Bowl ads, except maybe pop culture trend influences. Because of the pressure for Super Bowl ads to be topical, relevant, and on trend, the turnaround time for them is a bit shorter than Holiday ads. Super Bowl ads typically begin creation in December and early January.

We hope this was helpful and that you have a great holiday season!
